What a wonderful book of music for a Ladies Choir or Ensemble. Tom Fettke does his usual great job of arranging music in a beautiful, lyrical, singable style. This is a book that is useful for churches who do traditional worship or gospel music. There are one or two contemporary songs but the majority are truly classic repertoire such as Panis Angelicus, The Lord is my Light, A Mighty Fortress is Our God, and Praise, My Soul the King of Heaven. The arrangements are such that most of them start in unison and then go into parts but there are various combinations of voices that could be used. I would recommend this book highly. I was able to find enough copies of this book by going on to the Amazon used book section. It was well worth the effort. One of the books came with a CD which was helpful for my group. My group sings for Nursing homes and at special functions at church. The songs have been a blessing to those who have heard them. One of the nursing home favorites has been "His Eye is on the Sparrow". Some of the songs are rather long but it is very easy to edit them.
