Fennel sounds like an odd flavor, but it is pleasantly licorice, not candy-like, with all the qualities provided by the Tom's toothpaste. When Whole Foods has Tom's on sale, I always buy an extra tube or two for the cupboard. Excellent quality product, and sales offer even greater value.I have allergies to mint and cinnamon. Other than kids tooth paste there are not many options. I find this tooth paste to clean, foam up nicely, and tastes great too.I quite like the fennel flavor. My husband found it was too tingling/numbing though. I believe there is a naturally occurring enzyme in fennel (as well as celery and similar plants) that causes it.I experienced a little at first but it seems to have subsided.If you like the taste of fennel, I recommend :)Love this flavor, hard to find.
