I play a Yamaha Recording Custom, and am not a fan of the Yess system, as on heavier toms, the ball mounts do not stay in place. removed the YESS mounts from the drums and attached the OptiMounts and Pearl Tom Arms, and the kit is now rock solid, and resonates beautifully. Just be cautious of measuring the drum. The measurements are for Pearl drums, but since they are positioned where the lugs screw into the lug mounts, different brands may not fit. The Yamaha needed one size smaller for a given size (the 13-14" fit my 16" tom perfectly)
